Cross Stitch Blouse
Embroidered Cross Stitch Blouses
This Huipil/Blouse is originally from the town of Zinacantan, Chiapas. No two blouses are alike. Hand Embroidered equally on both sides. It looks great with a skirt or jeans and a pair of sandals.
Cross stitch is a popular form of embroidery that uses stitches set in the shape of a cross. It also uses different stitches, including ¼, ½, ¾ and back stitches. Cross stitching is usually done on uniform and distinguishable weft fabrics, and less frequently on non-uniform ones, with a uniform weave (scrim) placed on top of them, which is removed thread by thread at the end of the embroidery.
