Flower Crown

Macrame headbands

From a Nahuatl myth that narrates how the goddess Xochiquétzal, "precious flower", was bitten by a bat sent by Tezcatlipoca and what it ripped from her turned into bad-smelling flowers for the gods, who sent them to Mictantecuhtli, numen of the underworld , to wash them and turn them into scented flowers.
